A polar bear family on top of an iceberg inquisitively watch as they are photographed. Given that the two cubs on the left are two years old, they will soon leave their mother. This image was taken on a trip to Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada across the Davis Strait from Greenland.

Two three-month-old polar bear cubs keeping close to their mother in Wapusk National Park south of Churchill, Manitoba Canada near the Hudson Bay. This mother and her cubs had left their birthing den a few days earlier and are preparing to head to Hudson Bay where there will be a plentiful supply of food.

In the fall, grizzly bears come to an area in British Columbia, Canada along the Nakina River that is rich in salmon to bulk up before winter. This adult female bear had been playing with a stick before spotting a dead salmon on the floor of the river. She continued to play with the salmon for a few moments before dining on the fish.
